Wedding event locations for the weekend are marked orange, food recommendations are blue, and site-seeing recommendations are in green!

Where and when should I fly in?

The weekend’s events begin on Friday afternoon and last through Sunday night, so we recommend flying in on Thursday and leaving on Monday! Oaxaca International Airport (OAX) is the best airport to fly into - it is about 20 minutes from Centro where the festivities will be.

Do I need a car?

We recommend skipping the rental car — parking in Oaxaca Centro can be tricky, and the good news is, you won’t need one! If you're staying in the city center, all wedding events, restaurants, and cultural spots are within a 15-minute walk. If you don’t feel like walking, there are plenty of taxis available.

Is transportation provided?

While Oaxaca is a very walkable city, we’ve got you covered if you’re in heels! We’ll be providing transportation to the Friday welcome party and Saturday’s ceremony, with pick-ups from a couple of central spots in town. Exact locations will be shared on our website as we get closer to the big day — stay tuned!

What will the weather be like?

Oaxaca in October is on its best behavior — warm days between 75-80°F and crisp, cozy evenings between 55-60°F. There is the occasional light sprinkle because we are at the end of rainy season, but expect mostly sunshine and perfect weather!

What is the dress code?

Friday — upscale casual — we’re going for vacation chic. Think what you’d wear to a beautiful dinner party under the stars. No need for jackets or ties for gentlemen, but feel free to elevate your look. The evening will be held in the beautiful garden at Criollo, where the ground is gravel, so we recommend chunky heels, wedges, or flats for the ladies. It cools down after sunset, so consider a light layer to stay warm!

Saturday — creative cocktail — festive, colorful, and a little fancy! Express yourself with color, texture, or whatever feels like you. Suits are encouraged for men, but feel free to leave the ties at home. Ladies, dresses of all lengths are welcome, so wear whatever makes you feel gorgeous (and dance floor-ready!).

Sunday — fun + funky - keep it casual and comfortable. We’ll be at a mezcal tasting room, sipping and dancing. Think comfy shoes, fun prints, and fabrics you can move in. Bonus points for anything groovy or vintage.

Is the water safe?

Oaxaca is a popular destination for travelers from around the world, and restaurants follow good hygiene practices — you’ll find plenty of delicious and safe options! If you are looking for some great places that we recommend, check out our Travel Guide. That said, we recommend drinking bottled or filtered water (even for brushing your teeth) just to be cautious. If you have a sensitive stomach, you might want to skip street food or raw items, and consider starting a probiotic a week or two before the trip to help your system adjust.

Are you registered anywhere?

Your presence is truly the best present — we’re so grateful for the time, travel, and love you're putting into joining us in Oaxaca. That said, for those who feel inclined to give a gift, we’ll be gratefully accepting them here or in person.
